Owen graduated with a degree in physics from Queen’s University of Belfast , and completed his PhD on high-temperature superconductors. He studied the way electrical current flows in materials and how it distributes around defects, using optical microscopy and magneto-optics. He began work within Bio-rad Microscience. He later co-founded a testing company focusing on elements of UK infrastructure. Owen has utilised the experience and analytical expertise to joining our funding team in 2023.
